This poster work uses an image taken from a screen grab of an audience member from the broadcast of the 1971 Chomsky/Foucault debate in the Netherlands, specifically the section where Noam Chomsky refers to the ‘arbitrary limiting effects of coercive institutions.’
The original footage also features in two other works, namely ‘Towards a Free Society’ and ‘The Audience’.
