Two Barges is a proposal for a pair of illuminated signs to be ferried around the island of Manhattan using the Hudson, Harlem and East Rivers.   The signs will be made from panels of tungsten lightbulbs fixed to a supporting metal rig.   The letters will be around 15 foot high and stand on the decks of two 100 foot long barges.   One will say the word "FORGIVE", the other will say "FORGET".   The barges will sail in opposite directions around Manhattan and their travel speeds will be slightly staggered so as to alter the points at which they cross paths.

The barges will sail from dusk to the early hours of the morning for a period of time to be determined by practical considerations.   The lightbulbs will be yellow.
