Aubrey Roadway: ‘Litter Walk’

It’s a sign about taking your litter home with you. Although it’s quite large, you can only really see the message when you are up close. The rest of the board is covered with transparent text: a collection of words found on the litter I encountered on my daily walk. I placed the board at Nelson & Colne College, where I am studying Graphic Design

Linda Erliz: ‘The Scream’

This is one of my favourite places. As a child, I would bunk off school to come here and chisel my name on the rocks or just to sit and think. As a teenager, I found myself standing on the highest rock, facing the world and just screaming my head off. It was great, no one could hear me and today I do it whenever I can.

Geoff Parr: ‘Budgie Cage’

I made it out of industrial plastic string, I love plastic. It is in memory of my Nan who I miss very much. I remember her budgie cage from when I used to visit her when I lived in Liverpool. I live in Lancaster now and the cage is going to tour the three sites: Pavilion, Colne then on to the Storey Gallery in Lancaster and finally The Bluecoat in Liverpool. A touring budgie cage, my Nan would be proud of that.

Geoff Crambie: ‘Vivary Bridge’

A long time ago this particular spot had a bridge going over a small beck. The bridge was known as Vivary Bridge and about ten or so years ago, the road nearby collapsed. I investigated the huge hole and saw the remains of the bridge, unfortunately, I could only manage to rescue this stone finial before the hole was repaired.

Tracy Hurst: ‘Residential Laundrette’

There is something fascinating about the posters and other memorabilia found in laundrettes. Ashtrays, plastic cups, improvised instructions on bits of scrap paper etc. I find them all extremely inspiring. I propose to take up voluntary residence at my local laundrette where I will develop and expand my photographic portfolio.

Adrian Melling: ‘Cheers’

I want to go where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came.
I want to go where people meet and people are all the same.
I want to go where everybody knows your name.

Andrew Titley: ‘Planet Records’

Come on down, the price is right.

Hasan Dhaimish: ‘Stationary’

If only I could just get on a train and go, that would be interesting.

Joshua Titley: ‘Just Watch This’

See if you can take a photograph of me in mid-air.
