description:
Charles Quick's project for Artranspennine03 involves illuminating street lights
during daylight hours without touching any of the wires. Quick's practice has
long examined the our reliance the on the electrical infrastructure of
the urban - previous works have utilised the electrical systems of
architecture to create subtle interventions into the built and experiential
environment. During June 2003 Quick will be travelling around various, unadvertised,
suburban sites and causing the lights to go on at the wrong time.
