description:
Throughout the duration of Artranspennine03 there will be sporadic outbreaks
of the pox, mainly effecting rural areas. This particular strain of pox looks
much like velvet and the source of the outbreak is believed to be a remnant
shop in Manchester as the occurrences and the size of each particular outbreak
directly mirrors this shop's supply of blood red velvet curtaining. Hanging
red curtains was believed by some to ward off the smallpox virus, however this
proved to be nothing but folklore. The nature of these attacks will be highly
unpredictable, but will be linked to the Transpennine Express, which may have
some role to play in its spread.
