For Artranspennine03 James Brown is producing an archive/ listing of every public
phone box in within the central areas of five cities (Liverpool/ Manchester/
Leeds/ Sheffield/ Hull as (defined by the A-Z city maps).The archive will be
produced using digital photographs taken of each telephone terminals unique
identity panel and call number) to be edited and sequenced into a distributable
format (pamphlet/ book/ web_site). The public phone box numbers will be programmed
in to an automated sequenceto be dialled intermittently over a defined period
of time for the duration of Artranspennine03 across the five cities. Each connection/
call will be maintained for approximately one ring cycle before the modem is
reset (on hook).
